  After failing to cement a starting role at Inter Miami – under either Gerardo Martino or Javier Mascherano – Federico Redondo is ready to try his luck in Spain with Elche, who will sign him on a five-year deal.

  The 22-year-old midfielder is already in the city with his representatives, finalizing the last details of his contract, according to . Inter Miami sold 50 percent of Redondo’s rights for $2.5 million.

  Born in Madrid, Redondo came through the ranks at Argentinos Juniors, making his professional debut in 2022 and appearing in 49 official matches for the club. His performances earned him a move to MLS in February 2024, where he joined Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suárez.
